1. Introduction
This report presents the results of site observation of the reconstruction of Shree Prajawasti Primary School, Bardada, Makaising-03, Gorkha, from 27 July, 2017 to 31 July, 2017. The purpose of the visit assures the project is being built in general conformance with the contract documents and according to the design concept. This scope of work is intended to determine, by periodic visits to the construction site by the project’s civil engineer.
2. Objectives
1.To know about the status of the ongoing construction works in the site.
2.To monitor the construction of drinking water supply works.
3.To discuss about the receiving of gabion cages from the district office.
4.To submit project completion final report and receive the completion letter fromthe District Education Office and District Coordination Committee.
3. Works Performed
The visit to the school was done on 28 July, 2017. There are 2 taps for drinking water built by another organization and 3 taps and a tank built by the school from the funds provided by the government. Another tank has been built about 12 meters below the upper tank from the school. The fund provided by the government was insufficient to buy the water pump to transfer the water from lower tank to the upper tank. An electric pump should be bought for the transfer of water up to the school.
The stones for the construction of the gabion walls have already been delivered to the school. All the necessary documents were submitted to the district offices for the procurement of the gabion cages. The construction of gabion walls will be started as soon as the gabion cages are received.
